BTR and Victoria justice

Emma and I went with Ellie and taylor to see big time rush and victorious in concert. It was a lot of fun and the girls had a blast. Our seats were great!

Emma's favorite... James!!!
Carlos.

Victoria justice... She was really good.

Lamb camp 2013

Emma has just completed her 3rd year of lamb camp. She could actually teach the camp at this point but every year she wants to return. It was another fun year and she looked right at home. Natalie her BFF and sidekick looks exactly the same. Two very comfortable girls at camp.

Baseball anyone?

My baby, although he's not a baby anymore :(, is a pitching machine! He's gotten so good and he loves it. He eat breathes and sleeps ball! Practices everyday without mark even asking. He will ask him to pitch with him. It's so sweet! I hope he stays with it because he really is very talented.
Triple down third!
SAFE!!

LOVE IT!  Swing away sweet boy!!

Dance competition awards

This year was the first year MSOD had a comp team. The girls did a fantastic job! We really bonded together. The girls worked really hard to throw everything together and learn it so quickly. It was a great experience for everyone involved. We are looking forward to the new season. The girls haven't stopped dancing even in the summer. They are really committed. So proud. At the end of last season the teaching ninjas had a get together at Mrs. Bings house. A huge potluck and a beautiful day. Each of the girls were given an award and then a few people got another award. I think the pics will show it all...
Yes Emma received the ms professional award for her ability to perfect her moves and taking corrections sometimes just before going on stage. It does show her personality well. And she was so excited that she won that award. The next award was the one I was most impressed with.
The best attitude award made my day. Ms. Mandy said that she won this award because no matter how many times I made her do something she would just say ok and what's next. Never complained about how hard the moves were but just kept working to get it. And would smile thru it all. That's the stuff parents like to hear! My inner mom did her triple axel!!! I tell my kids all the time attitude is everything! Must be sinking in some of the time.

The girls listening closely for their name to be called to see what award they would win....

Emma Recital 2013

This year flew by at light speed. Emma has come so far and grown so much as a dancer. If she's awake she's dancing, turning or tumbling around. She said," I think I was born to dance." I have to agree with her. You can just tell how much she loves it. It so amazing to witness someone forming their first passion. It's made such a wonderful difference being at MSOD! We love our studio and teachers. It's one of the biggest reasons Emma has found her love for this sport. Positive encouragement and love.

The end of the long day of dancing. She was beautiful in every dance she performed!
On the ride home her brother was nice enough to help her get the 100 Bobbi pins out of her hair. Their faces tell it all. Too funny!
Keep dancing and dreaming my sweet girl. :)

Have you ever?

Have you ever been so proud you cried? Well,  I have and it's a magical and wonderful feeling. I'm so proud of my kids that I just beam when I talk about them. They amaze me everyday. They have so many talents and strengths. They are truly blessed with God given abilities. Jake is really developing into a well rounded ball player. His new love is pitching. He's gotten really good and can't wait to get on the mound. I love his confidence and determination. At 10 I would rather have died than do something like that in Front of lots of people and with all that pressure. But he seems to flourish.
Emma was invited to be on our first competition team for her dance school. Millington school of dance has become our second home. We love our dance teachers and the environment they have created. This year they started a competition team. Emma was invited as the youngest person on the squad. She has been performing a jazz number in a group of 10 dancers with all of the rest being 9 and 10 years old. She and Abby are the youngest but its hard to tell that when they dance. My heart was in my throat when we competed in our first competition. We showed up with our one costume and went back stage amongst people with costume racks and makeup stands. Think dance moms and you get the picture. But our group doesn't need all that. We dAnce from the heart with our logo being a tree. Ms. Bing and ms. Mandy are changing the way people see dance with age appropriate costumes and quality dance moves. The girls did awesome. And continue to grow and only get better and better. I get tears in my eyes every time I watch her dance. She's so graceful and elegant. I'm just so proud I cry.

Can't wait for next season! More tears of pride and joy. :)
